How-to Maintenance: How to maintain your pool

Chemical Start Up Kits

First Things First!-Follow these simple steps for an easy pool opening!

1.First, remove all water and debris from your pool cover.

2. If applicable, remove and empty the anchoring water bags.

3.Once you remove the cover and water bags, make sure you clean the cover and place it in a cool, dry, place for the colder months.

4. Clean out skimmers and main drain. Be sure your pool equipment is clean and sanitized before you ‘officially’ open the pool for fun.

5. Increase the water level to the middle of skimmer opening.

6. Check filter (make sure there is no excess dirt or debris), pump and heater for winter damage and replace all drain plugs.

7. Start filtration system. Let your filtration system run for a few hours to be sure the water is clear of bacteria and invisible organic remnants.
