Excellent Cleaner Review by Carl
I bought the T4-RC in March of 2011 and it has performed well. I had one issue with the main pump while it was still under warranty, sent it out for repair and it came back better than ever. The repair place in New Jersey added another float device onto the handle. It has not had any issue since. It does a great job cleaning and saves me all sorts of time and frustration. The Aquabot met and exceeded our highest expectations.
Couldn't be happier Review by FritzfromBethesda
Since our Aquabot broke down beyond repair after about 15 years of use, we had to get a new pool cleaner. Reviewing the brands and models available today, we zeroed in on the Turbo RC which very much looks like a direct descendent of our old model. However, our concerns were substantial as our original Aquabot always had suffered from a few incurable problems, namely, that (a) irrespectively of the cleaning time (even when given days to run) about 10 to 20% of the pool floor were not passed over and remained un-vacuumed, (b) the cleaner often got stuck in the pool steps and needed human intervention, and (c), too much time was spent in scrubbing the tiles. Our pool is in-ground, kidney-shaped, about 40 by 20 feet, and holds about 23,000 gallons of water.
Our concerns about encountering similar problems with the new Turbo RC were somewhat mitigated by Doheny's fabulous clearance price and by the competent and reassuring advice we received from customer support at Aqua Products.
Fortunately, the new Aquabot met and exceeded our highest expectations. It cleans 100% of the surfaces, and achieves this result in three to four hours. It scrubs very well, but does not waste time with it. The phenomenal wall-climbing ability is still there. So far, we haven't had any entanglement of the cleaner in the pool steps or with its cable. We had bought the model with remote control (RC), mainly to hedge against the shortcomings we knew of our previous Aquabot. However, since none of the snags are still there, we have yet to connect and try out the remote control. Lastly, let me mention the ease to get the device out of the shipping box and into the pool doing its cleaning job. It's minutes rather than hours. Bravo Aquabot!
Great item Review by HotInTexas
I purchased my Aquabot Turbo this week and could not be more pleased. I had the Maytronics Dolphin Explorer, it lasted for 2.5 years then the motor quit. I was very disappointed with the lack of customer serviceability. The estimated repair to replace the motor was $699.99 plus taxes and labor. I live in Houston and the nearest service center other than the local pool suppliers is in Seguin, TX. Seguin? Really? Seguin is a nice quiet small town in the middle of Texas. Why not have a center in major metropolis areas like Houston or Dallas?
Anyway I am DIY person restore old cars for a hobby and I am pleased to see that I can get new belts and parts right here in Houston. OH, did i mention that Maytronics is a [foreign] company? Aquabots are made right here in the USA, so I hope that I am also helping someone in America remain gainfully employed. I will never buy another Maytronics product.
Thanks Doheny, I have run my Aquatbot 28 hours in the last 48 hrs and my pool is sparkling once again. I am even thinking of buying one for my elderly uncle for fathers day as he is on a fixed income and his old robotic is dead. I would highly recommend this product.
Aquabot make a great pool cleaner Review by Damncold
This is a general review of Aquabot as opposed to this particular cleaner. I purchased an Aquabot Bravo Fury, not the Turbo I intended to purchase but couldn't be happier. I have a fairly large (22 x 44 x 11) concrete pool. It usually takes me 3 hours a week to vac it. I have a pressure side cleaner that worked fairly well on leaves and the bigger stuff but does nothing for the silt/pollen and finer material.
I purchased the Fury and threw it in at pool opening, haven't vac'd the pool once and the water is great! The filter bag is a paint to clean but no more than 10 minutes, while the "bot" works for 3 hours at a time, well worth the money!
