We just purchased our second ranger to replace our aging 11 year old ranger. It does a good job on our 30' above ground pool but you have to add 4 hose sections. We live on a gravel road so the pool gets dirty in a huge hurry. As you have read elsewhere, you have to read and follow the directions and direct it in a few spots. Changing the water flow patterns occasionally will fix most of this. Keep an eye on the hoses, after several years they won't seal as well and will let the cleaner suck air. With replacement diaphragms we have bought every 3 to 4 years we figure this unit has cost us about $14 a year to own and operate. Pretty darn good investment for something that let's me enjoy our pool instead of slaving over it. We have friends with other suction side cleaners and robotic cleaners and the return on investment just is not there on their units. Because of where we live we upgraded our pump, DE filter and added a dedicated vac port so the ranger automatically runs when the filter starts plus we don't interfere with the skimmer but it worked great before we did that also.

This cleaner is so easy to operate. Being a new pool owner, this is the easiest thing to run besides putting tabs in the skimmer.

Recently I purchased the Baracuda Ranger, and I don't have to worry about my Ranger getting hung up on my ladder or steps because of the handy wheel deflector.

This is a perfect cleaner if you're on a tight budget!! It gets the job done and makes my water look perfect. I definitely don't regret spending under $200 on this product!

I was skeptical at first but this little cleaner lives up to its name, its a cleaning "baracuda"! It is a great time saver. Now I don't have to be tied to cleaning the pool. I just attacher it and I'm off doing more important things. The only negative is that it likes our pool ladder and seems to get caught up on it a bit too often...but with a little redirection, the ranger is off and about taking care of business!

This is our second Baracuda Ranger. The previous one lastest 8 years until someone stood on it in the pool. Love this product, it's easy to install and works great with above ground pools!

This is our second one. We had one for 5 years, it still works but our dog chewed on it so we decided to replace it with the same.. couldn't go wrong with this one...

I use to own a self contained cleaner but I like this one so much more; even if I have to clean out the skimmer basket. I don't mind having to use it when I am filtering the pool as we usually do that at night anyway. It's nice when we want to sit out back and enjoy a nice night that the cleaner operates quietly as the ad states. I even let my neighbor use it and she loved it and purchased one herself.

This cleaner keeps my pool pristine. Now my biggest problem is emptying my skimmer basket! That is why I already ordered my leaf catcher.
