I decided last year when I bought my pool that I didn't want all the maint. of the chlorine, and I had done alot of research about the salt generator. Here in Florida, the salt generator has made such a difference. Aside from the initial start-up being a little costly, it has paid for itself in one summer. We had one issue early on with algae, after that everything stayed right where it should be, my pool has stayed open the entire winter, of course too cold to swim in, but only run it a couple times a month during the cooler months, and other than needing an occasional vaccuum, it has been clear all winter. I have the basic model just hang over side of pool and works great. I bought this one to help keep my other salt generator motor from over heating when the weather is 95-101 for 3 or 4 weeks straight and this one you can run non stop. The next one I get will have the warning/maint unit to help remind me to check it. The cell has a scale build up just need to soak it in some vinegar a few hours and rinse. will buy another price is good compared to the 500-600 dollar inline ones.

This is my second Chlor-Ease Salt gererator, this is a much better model that I have had for two years. I was in a habit of adding a weekly shock with my older one, but not with the new generator. Christal clear water and other than a occasional vaccum with the Barracuda, check it once a week and chlorine is right on the money with nothing to add. Been trying to convince one of my freinds to change over but they,'re hard headed and got screwed over by a bad Bacqucil experiance and don't want to take a chance. I've got to bring them over to see my cool clear water.

We are on our second one, due to our first one purchased with our pool did not come with maintenance instructions. But our second one we ordered from Doheny's came with everything you needed to know about it. We love it and it makes it so much easier to maintain and most of all it is a money saver. We are trying to persuade our friends to change from chlorine pool to saltwater. We will not give up.

I bought one of these in 2006 for a 14,000 gallon above ground pool, and it is simply amazing. It just works... I have a rental house where I bought a Hayward Aqua-Trol system for an 11,000 gallon pool, for about 600 bucks around the same time, and it has been a total pain in the butt. I am going to buy another Chlor-Ease to replace the Hayward....

I have purchased two of these. The first one was an older unit without the warning lights and it failed through lack of proper maintenance. The upgraded model warned me with the indicator lights and it has per-formed very well. The savings in chemicals more than pay for the unit, especially in hot summer months.

This is the best product for the money to keep your pool clean and sanitized. I check the water once a week and saves me from having to use extra chemicals except a occasional shock treatment. I love it.

We purchased the Chlor-Ease at the beginning of the season this year as we opened our pool. We were told by others that is would save money and time with maintenance. That was an understatement. Now it is the end of the swimming season and all I have done is vacuum my pool a couple of times a week. NO CHEMICALS ADDED ALL SUMMER. This summer basically cost me the purchase of the chlor-ease and the salt to start it up. UNBELIEVABLE. I have recommended this product to many friends already.

This product really does keep the pool water sanatized. It really kills the algae. I had places that I could not kill algae but the Chlor-Ease has keep that algae gone. I plan on telling all my friends how pleased I am with this product. Even my grandchildren have commented that the water does not burn their eyes since we have changed to the salt water chlorinator.
