• Great value for the price
These easy-to-operate high-tech sand filters provide superior flow and outstanding performance. Sand filters include a seven-position dial valve with a flange clamp attachment that allows for 360 degree rotation, which makes it ideal for any replacement application. Rating After a deep freeze here in El Paso ruptured our sand filter I needed a new one and started looking around town. The cheapest I could find was about 600 dollars. Meanwhile, I wrote to Doheny's to ask if the 24" filter would be suitable and they responded that the 24" would indeed work but I could even get by with the 19" inch filter. How many companies would do that? Anyway, the filter arrived quickly and seems to be working flawlessly. I could not be more pleased.

- Looks good, works good, cannot beat the price, hope it lasts! Review by Jonah

Rating Have had bad experience with several filters in this price range before. This one looks like the manufacturering process is cleaner than the others. The valve body is held in place much better and I had no leaks from the start. Good flow and pool is clear and just like it should be. Now, if it will only hold up! This tank looks alot cleaner and more uniform than the past filters that have failed with cracked or split tanks.

- good filter - with a little tinkering Review by mike

Rating The price on these sand filters is unbeatable, and the shipping was very quick - arrived at my front door 3 days after I ordered. I own the 24' filter. It appears well made, and has been functioning very well for the last month. When I first installed the filter I had issues with cloudy water and with dirt coming through the return when I vacuumed the pool, and could not figure out why. It turns out that the stem running down the center of the filter tank was not quite tall enough to completely seat within the top of the multiport valve, and as a result, some water was bypassing the sand in the filter. This was causing the cloudy water and vacuuming issues. I used some gorilla tape to complete the seal from the bottom of the multiport to the top of the stem running down the center of the filter, and it has been running like a charm ever since. I definitely recommend this filter. If you buy one of these and run into the same issue I did, send me an email at mikemchuge52@hotmail.com, and I can tell you more about it and how exactly to fix it.
