I bought one of these two summers ago and was thrilled with how well it cleaned my in-ground pool. I had gotten tired of cleaning the diapers in the AquaBot and was happy to have a cleaner that didn't need diapers. Last spring, I got ready to do the inial yearly cleaning. Since I knew there were acorns down in the bottom, I used the regular (rigid) filters, but they got so clogged with the fine dirt that I switched to the (non-rigid) spring cleaning filters. Unfortunately, an acorn got past the spring cleaning filters and shot up through the little plastic fan at the top that expels the water (and creates the suction). And, of course, the acorn broke the fan, which rendered the Dirt Devil useless (no fan = no suction). I went to my local pool store, which had recommended the Dirt Devil, ironically because the manufacturer is in the next state...so it would be easy to get repairs done. Well, after more than a year, we still can't get the part, so I've had a very expensive paperweight for a long time. Incidently, the pool store has been trying to get a part for another customer since last summer, too. If I was able to actually use my Dirt Devil, I would have rated it 5 stars, but I can't rate something that high if it has to be replaced every time some little plastic part breaks. Guess I'll be going back to an AquaBot and its diapers because at least I can get parts and keep it working.

We have had this cleaner going on 2 seasons now. Never having a pool before I did not want to goof around with hoses and such to clean the pool. Decided to purchase this cleaner and very happy we did. Just opened the pool a couple of days ago and it was a mess. With all the rain we had the dirt had pushed through the safety cover and was sitting at the bottom of the pool.
We put in the spring clean up filters and let it run. Now it was so dirty that I had to do this 3 times (cleaning the filters in between) but what a great job it did. Even picks up small stones off the bottom. It climbs the walls and has never got stuck on the bottom drain or outlets. Granted this is not a cheap investment, but I am very happy with it and glad we purchased it.

We have had the dolphin(wouldn't climbsent back)and we have had the aquabot turbo(tore up all the time sent back to be fixed a piece of junk)and we bought the dirt devil from water warehouse & it has been GREAT!!! I would have to say the best on the market...you won't be dissapointed!
