I was having a wedding reception at my home on a Saturday and my pump burned out the Tues. before. I orded my pump from Doheny's Water Warehouse and had it 18 hrs. later. Not only did I receive the pump in record time but the pricing was much better than what I found around. Also, this pump seems quieter than the one like it that burned out. (8 Yrs. old) I highly recommend this pump!

Bought a house in St. Louis 3 yrs ago and it has a 25,000 gal vinyl liner in-ground pool (8 yrs old at purchase). I have learned a lot about being a pool owner in the last 3 years. Learning the chemistry was hell. Wasted lots of cash listening to the knuckleheads at local chain pool store. The old 1 1/2 HP 220v DynaGlas finally gave up the ghost (who knew WD-40 can't fix everything?) On Sunday, it finally roasted the impeller and overheated the motor to the point where you could fry hamburgers on it. I tore it apart and knew it was beyond repair and then surfed the internet for a couple of hours to get the lay of the land and then went to bed. I checked with the local pool Gangsta's and decided I wanted not to get molested by them on this too so internet it was. The Doheny site looked well done so I went ahead and whipped out the MC and ordered the 1.5HP Hayward Superpump on Monday. No shipping, no sales tax and $80 cheaper than the Gangstas. It was sitting on my porch when I got home from work on Tuesday, I read the book, hit Lowes for some parts (it has a 1.5 inch ports where my DynaGlas had 2" ports). After work today (Wed) I replumbed and wired up the pump then had dinner. Still buzzing from the PVC pipe cement, I filled the basket and hit the switch. Awesome. This pump runs like a dream. My old one took minutes to clear the air from the basket and this one in seconds. Very quiet and seems to be running great. It may not have quite the velocity of the old one (the stair jets are not flowing fast enough to suck in air and make bubbles) but I estimate that if it uses just 10% less electricity it will pay for itself in 3 years. I'll see on my electric bill next month. Only criticism I have is that the electrical lug connection plate is very small and in cramped quarters, trying to get a nice wrap on the terminals was very difficult. I did not have any spade lug connectors (there are terminals for them) and that would have made it a lot easier. (I have a 2 trip to Lowe's max on any house project.) Thanks, Doheny crew. I have no idea how quiet this pump can be since it didn't come with with a power cord. 40 years of customer service but no warning from sales or customer service that that you are supposed to know that the pump is cordless.

I'm completely satisfied with the pump I bought to replace an old one. The new super pump runs much quieter than my old pump and is far more efficient than the old one. The service I received from this company was zzexcellent.

I purchased this pump and it was delivered in 2 days from the time the order was placed. It installed in just about 1 hour and runs very quiet. It delivers plenty of water for a 10000 gal in-ground pool. It is a far better pump than the old one it replaced.

Replaced my tired pool pump with this new Hayward pump. Heater runs better now and it is super quiet. Should have done this two years ago.

I have had this same pump for 13 years and it just started leaking as I was opening for the summer months. I am going to buy the same one tomorrow. First time I have ever had a problem. Worth the money. Lasted a long time.
