Mighty Step Pool Steps Manual
Do not waste your money Review by Red
Steps were a pain to assemble. After using them about 10 times, they fell apart in the pool. Not sure if it is a poor design or poor quality control on the parts, but even after parts snap together they come apart. Would not recommend these to anyone.
Horrible Review by Porkerlark
They are horrible and we have never been able to keep them in the water without placing a rock on the bottom step. I would not recommend them to anyone!
These steps are a joke Review by BG
They are a pain to put together and don't hold up.
They move around, float and fall apart after lots of use.
My grandchildren had a pool party and by the end of the day the steps were falling apart. The grandchildren are only 7 and 9 years old
Mighty Steps Review Review by Jan
Love these steps. Easy to assemble. We filled them with sand as instructed and also with water and they stay put.
Not as advertised they move around in water even with sand added Review by Pam
I can't imagine how one reviewer was able to keep the steps from floating by just putting water in the sides. We tried this and it didn't work. We then added 50 lbs. of sand like the instruction manual said to do, 25lbs. to each side. We then put the steps back in the water. They still floated. We took them out again and added about 15 lbs. more of sand to each side for a total of 80 lbs. They still move around some. I am so disappointed. These are expensive for an above ground pool. I could have spent much less on a ladder and it would have stayed put. I will be calling Doheny to let them know. What I thought was going to be quick and easy turned out to be several hours, which would have been ok if it would finally have worked but it didn't. It sure would be nice if a company cared enough about the products they sell and their customers to test their products before offering them for sell.
these are great Review by Don
I have my father's 25 yr old pool. I sandblasted and epoxy painted the ladder for him once and for myself when I set it back up at my house. Didn't want to do it again and bought these steps instead. Should have bought them for him years ago. They went together easy. If your sand is wet like mine was, just use a hose to trickle water in your funnel to wash the sand into the hole. I put my own rubber caps on the threads that you might catch yourself on. I also put some left over rubber roof pieces under the feet. The pads that come with it seem smooth but I wanted something with a little more cusion against the liner. It would be nice if they had some glued on neoprene! We taught our Labs to climb the ladder but they love these steps especially the 11 yr old.
Not too bad Review by R&R
Instead of using sand I used a garden hose to fill it then rolled it in the pool until all of the air was out. It stays in place with no problems. A good product. However, the package did NOT include the acorn caps which leaves metal exposed and risk of injury. I emailed customer support two times and received no replies. Good product but poor customer support. They didn't even had enough respect to reply! Other pool supply companies sell the same products. I'll shop around next time for better customer support.
Mighty steps Review by Bea
Bought these steps cause our ladder just didn't seem strong enough any more. I love the steps no more having to pull yourself up onto the deck you just walk right out and it is so much easier for our dogs to get in and out of the pool. The steps didn't take up much room either. I am very happy with the steps and glad that I purchased them. The assembly was fairly simple and did not take long, the only complaints are putting in the sand and shaking it around, you need a funnel with a large opening, and the railings where both for the same side, we had to turn the one around and we didn't get any acorn caps with it.
