Always had an algae problem in late June thru Sept. There are a lot of trees in the general vicinity of our pool and we are on a high spot with prevailing winds. Hence a real phosphate problem or "algae juice".

Had algae problems for 2+ years and couldn't get rid of it. Had my local pool store test my phosphate level, which was extremely high and I asked them about PHOSfree. They said they had tried it and it didn't work. I ordered a bottle from WW and bye, bye algae. What a relief. Now I have time to enjoy the pool instead of brushing. Thanks WW for carrying this great product and getting it to my door.

So far the best product to reduce phosphates I have found, but whould like to find something with higher efficiency.

This is the first summer I've used this product and this is also the first summer that I haven't experienced algal blooms. I'm very pleased with the performance of this product. It's oderless, easy to use and works well with chlorine sanitizers. After a few initial applications, I've found that about half of the recommended dose will keep the pool phosphate/algae free. I've been using PhosFree for several years on our 50,000 gallon condo pool. Prior to use I always had algae problems even with high chlorine levels. Our water district adds stannous phosphate to the city water (1,600 ppb in summer). Since using PhosFree I have only had algae problems occasionally when I add water to the pool and don't have enough PhosFree in the filters to remove all the phosphate in the makeup water. I mix the PhosFree with DE before coating the filters and have found that this extends the life of the DE. Net: It's a good product and works well.

I like that this is a natural way to get rid of algae. I've been moving away from all the chemicals and looking for some better choices.
