Product Description

  • Certified to ASTM F2208 standards
  • Easy to install
  • Advanced technology avoids false alarms
The PoolEye(R) PE23 is an advanced immersion alarm with remote receiver that reads surface and subsurface waves to protect against unauthorized pool entry. It uses a sophisticated program to analyze the disturbance, and alarms in appropriate circumstances, remaining silent in avoiding false alarms. Can be used for above ground and in-ground pools up to 20 ft x 40 ft. Additional alarm may be used for larger pools. One remote can be used with multiple alarms. Use the magnetic key for activating and resetting or it will automatically reset itself within 3 minutes of leaving the pool. Includes an in-home remote siren, deck mounting bracket and remote receiver. Poolside siren sounds at 85+ decibles for up to 10 ft. Battery powered and has a low battery indicator (batteries not included). 1 year warranty.

  • Works as advertise but you cannot switch it off Review by

The alarm definitely works as advertised but be aware there is no means in which to turn the alarm off other than taking it apart and removing the batteries.
The reasons I want to turn it off:
    1) The wind here does not gust often, but when it does it continually sets off the alarm (every 5 minutes or so).
    2) When people are swimming in the pool all you can do is switch to swim mode. But if they quit moving for a few minutes (like lounging in a water chair) or if they climb out to get a drink the alarm arms itself again in about 3 minutes, so when they do move or jump back in, off it goes again.
Given the reasons above with all the false alarms I'm afraid that it's value as an alarm is severely diminished.
