Rating We got this just this past week and it does an amazing job, however setting up for us was difficult. we have the 18' above ground Intex pro series which has a skimmer instead of the normal feed line from the pool to the pump, you will need an addition hose and few PVC adapter pieces, only cost about $20 extra. The pump has been running since yesterday and the water looks much better today, glad we got it.

Rating We have had an Intex 18 foot inflatable ring pool for about 7 years. We have been dealing with their pumps that are included with the pool as well as their upgraded pump. They are very inefficiant and do a very poor job. This year after needing a new pump, We discovered this pump. We have had it running for a week now and just got done using it to vacuum the bottom. I can't say enough about it. If you are tired of dealing with the paper filter cartridges and not having your water filtered enough.. You really need to invest in one of these pumps. It works fantastic. Our water is crystal clear and the bottom is clean. We are using the smaller of the two offered and it is doing great for our 18 foot round pool. Get rid of your frustrations and aggravations. Invest in one of these and begin enjoying your pool as you should be.
Thanks for your time and reading my review. Oh and by the way. When I ordered this pump. I ordered it on a Friday at 9AM and it was at our house on Saturday. The only setback was having to wait till Tuesday for the sand to arrive to be able to hook it up and begin using it.(Posted on 6/18/11)

Rating I was a bit leary about purchasing this based on some reviews about the hose but I had no issues with it. It worked great all summer and it was a nice change from the crap filter that came with the Intex pools.
