I travel a lot and have people check on my house. I have the inside monitor in my Garage and the floating sensor in my hot tub and the air temp in my house. When the house sitter stops by they just have to look at the monitor to see the house and tub are ok. The floating sensor only seems to work about 6 months then fills with moisture and quits. I have had 2 of these units and they both have done the same thing. The water is not getting in around the battery but around the clear plastic of the display. It is still worth the price for the winter months of knowing the temp of the hot tub before going out and hopping in.
