Read All Directions Thoroughly Prior to Use

Description: This product is a water based, acrylic pool paint formulated to provide a durable, decorative film for the protection of concrete and plaster swimming pools or for other aquatic attractions such as koi ponds or fountains. This product is excellent for use in applications where downtime is critical as it can be applied to a damp surface and be put into service 3 days after the final coat is applied. This product is compatible with previously painted chlorinated rubber surfaces.

Limitations: Applications and surface temperature shall be above 50˚F. Keep from freezing. Do not apply when rain is imminent. Not for use on fiberglass or gelcoat pools and spas. New concrete and plaster surfaces must be cured a minimum of 28 days prior to painting. Do not apply this product on surfaces treated with a curing agent as use of these will adversely affect adhesion.

Mixing: Mix to uniformity by mechanical mixing. Mechanical mixing includes the use of a paddle mixer and drill motor or mechanical shaking equipment. Mixing with a stirring stick is NOT recommended. Multiple containers should be inter-mixed in separate containers to ensure color uniformity.

Surface Preparation: PREVIOUSLY PAINTED AND NEW BARE CONCRETE AND PLASTER SURFACES - Surfaces must be free of dirt, chalk, oil, loose paint, and other foreign matter which could prevent proper adhesion. This typically can be achieved by power washing the surface first using a 3500 p.s.i. unit. Coating performance, in general, is proportional to the degree of surface preparation. Follow recommendations carefully, avoiding shortcuts. Inadequate preparation of surfaces will virtually assure inadequate coating performance. TSP Solution should be used on all non-epoxy-based coatings or bare concrete. TSP dissolves mineral deposits and increases porosity to create maximum adhesion. Use a minimum 3500 P.S.I. power washer to remove solution. Follow package directions carefully for paint or epoxy application.

Application: For Previously painted surfaces with acrylic or chlorinated/ synthetic rubber coatings. - This product can also be applied by brush, 3/8” nap roller, or spray. Avoid painting in the midday sun. Application is recommended early in the day or late in the afternoon when at least 2 hours of sunlight remain after completion of the job. Touch up any bare spots with one coat of this product. Apply 2 coats of this product to new or bare concrete and plaster surfaces, and 1 or 2 coats of this product to previously painted surfaces at the recommended coverage rates. In areas of low humidity (less than 20% and high temperatures over 90˚F) dampen the surface to be painted with a fine mist water spray prior to painting. Coverage and number of coats will vary depending on porosity and texture of surface. The first coat on bare surfaces can be thinned 10% with potable water. One gallon covers 175-200 sq. ft on bare sandblasted or rough surfaces and 350-400 sq. ft on recoats. Allow 4 hours drying time to recoat and 3 days before filling outdoor pools (6 days for indoor pools). Add 1 extra day of drying for every day of rain prior to filling the pool.

Recoat: After applying first coat, wait a minimum of 4 hours before applying additional coats

Cure Time Before Filling Pool: Outdoor Pool : Minimum 3-5 dry days. Indoor Pool : 6-7 dry days.

Non-Skid Surfaces: Steps, wading, and baby pools can be made non-skid by using sand. Immediately after applying a coat of paint, sprinkle sand by hand, at your own discretion, onto the wet film. After the paint has dried, sweep up loose material and apply another coat of this product to cover and seal. Sand can be added into the paint and applied.

Maintenance: Recoating of small area touch-up can be made at any time by following recommended application procedures. Refer to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for precautionary information. USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION. Do not breathe vapors or spray mist. Ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headache or dizziness, or if air monitoring demonstrates vapor/mist levels are above applicable limits, wear an appropriate, properly-fitted respirator (NIOSH/MSHA) during and after application. Follow respirator manufacturer's directions for respirator use. Close container after each use. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Shelf-Life: 5 years from date of maufacturer.

If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. First Aid Treatment: Contains: Diacetone alcohol, butyl cellosolve. If on skin (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. If inhaled: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if applicable. If swallowed: Seek medical attention or call a Poison center/doctor immediately. Do not induce vomiting unless directed by a physician or poison control center

Additional Precautionary Information: Crystalline silica can cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. Store in a well-ventilated area. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, eye and face protection. Dispose of contents in accordance with local, regional, national, international regulations.
