In 1967, Tom Doheny came to his family with a bold idea for a new business. After years of selling pool equipment and maintaining his own pool, he decided to strike out on his own and begin selling pool supplies through the new and exciting direct mail channel. His family was delighted and - with his wife Kathy and son John working at his side - he created his first catalog and mailed it to pool owners nationwide. Doheny's Pool Supplies was off and running.
