Description: This product cures to a hard, tough, durable finish, providing stain, chemical and abrasion resistance for protection of concrete, plaster and fiberglass swimming pools, spas and slides.

This product cures to a satin finish with excellent coverage rates, especially on previously painted epoxy surfaces. Because of their chemical cure, epoxies are the paints of choice for indoor and outdoor pools.

This product rolls easily and builds up to 8 mils dry per coat rendering "smoothing" qualities on rough surfaces. Two coats offer up to 8 years' service life and is a superior choice for spas.

Surface Preparation: Coating performance, in general, is proportional to the degree of surface preparation. Follow recommendations carefully, avoiding shortcuts. Inadequate preparation of surfaces will virtually assure inadequatecoating performance. Use Tri-sodium phosphate (TSP), Sulfamic or muriatic acid solution and high-pressure (3500 p.s.i.) minimum power washer. Scrub the entire pool surface with TSP solution to remove all dirt, oils and chalk. All surfaces should then be acid etched with 15-20% solution of sulfamic or muriatic acid to remove mineral deposits and to achieve a medium sandpaper grade finish on bare concrete or plaster surfaces. Neutralize/rinse with TSP and water. If surface is exceptionally hard, we recommend sanding with 60-80 grit sandpaper to create surface profile, prior to applying the first coat of this product. New concrete and plaster surfaces must be cured a minimum of 28 days prior to painting.

Mixing the Paint: This product is self-priming; no other type of primer is recommended or should be used.

1. Mechanically mix Part A for approximately 5 minutes.
2. Mechanically mix Part B for approximately 5 minutes.
3. Mechanically mix both part A and Part B together for approximately 15 minutes.

Mixing with a stir stick is not recommended. This product has a pot life (use life) of 3 hours. Once mixed allow the material to stand at 65°F and above for 20 minutes. Allow to stand at 45 minutes at temperatures 50—65°F to ensure chemical reaction before using. If material is used to soon after mixing or if pool is filled to soon after application yellowing or loss of gloss can occur. If more than one gallon kit is used at a time intermix several gallons together. Lower temperatures and higher humidity will affect the final cure of the coating.

Application Systems: Use no thicker than a 3/8” nap roller for solvent based paints. DO NOT use rollers with cardboard cores. Apply at the recommended coverage rate. Ideal air temperatures for application are between 50°F, no more the 90°F. Overnight curing temperatures must be at least 50°F or the paint will not cure properly causing and “oily” feel to the top of the paint. Do not paint when rain is imminent.

Coverage: Coverage and the number of coats will vary depending on porosity and texture of the surface.

• 150-200 sq. ft. per Kit on bare surfaces.
• 300-350 sq. ft. per Kit on recoats.
• Dry film per coat - Minimum: 5 mils dry (7.5 mils wet) / Maximum: 8 mils dry (12.5 mils wet).

Dry Time: Outdoor 5-7 dry, sunny days. Indoor 10-14 days, with adequate ventilation and air movement. If it rains, add a dry day for every wet day and removing any standing water from the bottom of the pool DANGER. CONTENTS MAY CATCH FIRE. FUMES MAY CATCH FIRE. MAY IRRITATE EYES. MAY IRRITATE SKIN. Highly flammable liquid and vapour. Harmful if inhaled. Suspected of causing cancer. Suspected of damaging fertility or the unborn child. May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. Do not smoke. Do not mix with chemicals other than those instructed. Do not swallow. Do not get in eyes. Do not get on skin or clothing. Do not breathe fumes. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

Additional Precautionary Information: Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, hot surfaces. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, eye and face protection. Dispose of contents in accordance with local, regional, national, international regulations. Vapor harmful. May affect the brain or nervous system causing dizziness, headache or nausea. May cause respiratory tract irritation and allergic skin reaction.

First Aid Treatment: Contains epichlorohydrin bisphenol A resin, xylene, methyl isobutyl ketone, and ethylbenzene. If on skin (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. If inhaled: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if applicable. If swallowed: Seek medical attention or call a Poison center/doctor immediately. Do not induce vomiting unless directed by a physician or poison control center
