Doheny's Quick Stabilizer is used for stabilizing chlorine from UV sunlight loss. It begins working to protect chlorine the instant it is added to the pool. Regular cyanuric acid (CYA) with a pH of 2.8 is very acidic and it takes from 4 to 7 days to dissolve. This can cause damage to the pool surface or circulation system, depending on the method of application. Quick Stabilizer is not an acid and has a pool friendly pH, so it will not damage pool surfaces or equipment.
Directions for Use:
- Shake: Ensure the bottle is well-shaken before use.
- ADD: With the pool's filtration system running, slowly pour the conditioner into the skimmer or directly into the pool water while circling the pool.
- Distribute: Use a pool brush to help spread the conditioner evenly throughout the water.
- Rinse: After pouring, rinse the container with pool water to ensure all product is removed.
- Dispose: Pour the remaining rinse water into the pool skimmer.
Instructions:
- General Usage: 1 gallon of Quick Stabilizer increases CYA levels 32 ppm in 10,000 gallons of water.
- Raise CYA levels below 30 ppm use this calculation: For every 10,000 gallons of water, add 4 fl. oz. to increase CYA by 1 ppm.
- Recommended CYA Level: To effectively protect chlorine from sunlight, maintain a CYA level of at least 30 ppm. You can test your pool's CYA level using a test kit.
Active Ingredients:
- Principal Functioning Agent *Sodium Cyanurate = 35%.
- Constituents Ineffective as Adjuvants = 65%. Note: *Equivalent to 30 percent cyanuric acid.
Storage & Dispsal: Storage: Store the product in a cool, dry location with good ventilation. Keep the container closed tightly when not in use. Avoid storing it in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. Disposal: Do not reuse or refill this container. When the product is empty, dispose of it according to local environmental regulations.
