Q. How do I connect to the MyDolphin Skimmi App?

A. The app is compatible with the following smart devices: Apple (iOS)-Version 10 and up - iPhone, iPad. Android - Version 5 and up operating system. Here are the steps to get connected!

1. Agree to Maytronics Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Tap to read them.
2. Ensure Bluetooth is active on your smartphone.
3. Tap the pencil icon to name your skimmer.
4. Select your newly named Skimmi.
5. Rotate the front wheel of the skimmer to pair it with the phone. This initiates the pairing process between the robot and your smartphone.
6. Tap "Start Clean" on the app home screen. The default settings will start cleaning your pool, will optimize energy usage for nighttime operation and ensure maximum battery efficiency.
7. To stop cleaning, simply tap "Stop Clean" on the app.

Q. How do I get started with my Skimmi

A. After you have unpacked the skimmer and removed all the plastic wrapping it's time to start! Preparing your Skimmi for use:

1. Remove the two orange storage clips from the filter tray.
2. Push the filter tray in until it snaps into place.
3. Download the MyDolphin Skimmi app.
4. To begin the pairing process, manually turn the front wheel to enable the Bluetooth connection.
5. Tap 'Start Clean' and place the Skimmi in a sunny pool to start working!

The two orange clips that come with the Skimmi hold the filter tray securely in place when the robot is not in use. We recommend keeping them to use when the Skimmi is in storage.

If the Skimmi is set on Auto Start, the orange clips act as a barrier to prevent the filter tray from being inserted completely so that the Skimmi does not start its cleaning cycle automatically when not in use.

Q. What features and setting are on MyDolphinSkimmi App?

A. The following Settings are available on the MyDolphin Skimmi, and their intended usage:

Auto Start: With Auto Start, the Skimmer will start working automatically as soon as the filter tray is fully inserted without needing to turn the skimmer on through the app. To activate Auto Start, slide the bar to the right. We recommend turning off the Auto Start before placing the skimmer into off-season storage.

Speed: There are three different Speed options to choose from: Low, High, or Auto (default setting).

• Low - Slow movement night and day.
• High - Fast movement night and day.
• Auto - Skimmi moves slowly at night to preserve energy and moves fast during the day.

Water Edge Cleaning: Water Edge Cleaning creates a microcurrent that pulls the debris from the edge to clean the perimeter of the pool. This setting has five different options to choose from:

• OFF - Doesn't create a microcurrent to pull the debris from the edge.
• Eco (Default Setting) - The Skimmer will clean every 3rd wall that it reaches. (This setting is the most eco-friendly because it reduces battery consumption).
• Standard - The Skimmer will clean every wall it encounters.
• Intense - The Skimmer will clean multiple sections of the waterline when encountering the edge of the pool.
• Perimeter - The Skimmer will clean only the waterline.

Water Clarity: If the water isn't clear, it affects the sensors' ability to accurately detect obstacles. Cloudy water can cause Skimmi to turn frequently and in circles. Set to 'Cloudy' or 'Murky' if the water is murky so that the sensors won't get confused.

Night Light: Blue accent lighting that works at night to create a pleasant atmosphere. The options are Still, Flashing, Detects which turns it on when it meets an object/wall, or Off.

Debris Washing: Turn this setting off if you don't want the robot to remove debris near the wall. Debris tends to stick to the waterline, so the robot creates a micro-current to pull the debris away from the wall and into the filter.

Smart Detect:

• Off - If there aren't any obstacles in the pool.
• Avoid Cable & Hose - If there is a corded robot cleaner in the pool cleaning simultaneously or for an infinity pool.
• Leaves (Leaf) Search - If there are a lot of leaves in the pool.

Distance to Edge: Choose your response distance to the edge of the pool so that Skimmi either doesn't turn too far from the edge or bump into it frequently.

Pool Type: This is set on Standard by default for regular, clear pools. If changed to Natural, it will protect plants and other elements on the pond's edge. It won't clean the water's edge in Natural mode.

Smart Solar Recharge: This feature is on by default and causes the robot to actively search for a sunny place to charge between cleaning cycles. We recommend leaving it on for the most energy-efficient cleaning!

Wheels Unblock: The robot is programmed to remove an object stuck in its wheels by itself. If it is unsuccessful, it stops and gives an error alert so that you can remove the object manually. It is on Auto by default. If there are strong winds or currents, or the filter tray is full and heavy, Skimmi may have a difficult time navigating. Setting 'Wheels Unblock' to 'Forced' will use more battery power to increase motor strength.

Alert Sound: When Alert Sound is enabled, the Skimmi will beep if it detects a dangerous temperature or if any of the wheels are blocked.

Manual Drive: Use the Manual Drive to navigate the Skimmi to the debris that needs to be picked up. Since the communication is through BLE it is important to stand as close as possible to the Skimmi to ensure proper communication. Use the left-hand side toggle to steer the Skimmi forward or backward. Use the right-hand side toggle to steer the Skimmi right or left. Press 'Cruise' if you want the toggles to stay in the set positions. When you press Clean Wall, it will create a microcurrent that will push the debris away from the wall to easily pick up the debris.

Watt Indicator: The charging/lightning bolt on the app home screen shows how many watts the sun is currently charging the robot.

Water Temperature: The temperature indicator shows the water temperature on the app home screen.

Q. Can I swim while the Skimmi is cleaning the pool?

A. Yes, it is okay to swim in the pool while the Skimmi is in use. We do recommend advising young children to not touch or play with the Skimmi while it is working.

Q. What pool is the Skimmi suitable for?

A. The Skimmi is suitable for pools up to 60 ft in length, in all shapes, sizes, and pool coating types. If the pool is larger than 60 ft, we recommend using two Skimmi's for the best results. It is designed for use in outdoor pools since the skimmer uses solar power energy to run, during the sunny season. Infinity pools: The skimmer has an infinity pool-ready sensor, ensuring your Skimmi can be safely used. In the MyDolphin Skimmi app, make sure the setting 'Smart Detect' is set to 'Avoid hose and cable' to activate those sensors. Saltwater pools: Yes, the Skimmi can be safely used in saltwater pools without any concerns about damage or corrosion from the saltwater.
