Step #1: Identity
The Stain Identification ID Kit was designed to take the guesswork out of removing swimming pool stains by identifying the type of stain you have – which allows us to provide the proper solution! Item #1033.
Step #2: Treatment
Step 2 will help you remove the stain or scale from your pool. The results from the Stain ID Kit will determine which of the following treatments you should follow for best results.
Stain Solution #1 Value Packs Include:
- Jack's Magic After Shock: Add to quickly reduce chlorine levels when above 1 ppm.
- Jack's Magic The Blue Stuff (Chlorine Pools): Add at a rate of 1 qt/10,000 gallons.
- Jacks' Magic The Purple Stuff (Salt Water Pools): Add at a rate of 1 qt/10,000 gallons.
- Jack's Magic Iron, Cobalt & Spot Etching Stuff: Add at a rate of 2 lb/12,000 gallons. Broadcast over stained area.

- United Chemical No Mor Muriatic Acid: Add 1.25 lb/10,000 gallons of pool water AFTER the pH & alkalinity are properly adjusted.
- Jack's Magic The Blue Stuff (Chlorine Pools): Add at a rate of 1 qt/10,000 gallons.
- Jacks' Magic The Purple Stuff (Salt Water Pools): Add at a rate of 1 qt/10,000 gallons.
- Jack's Magic Copper & Scale Stuff: Add 10 lb/10,000 gallons.
Iron Scale Solution Value Packs Include:
- United Chemical No Mor Muriatic Acid: Add 1.25 lb/10,000 gallons of pool water AFTER the pH & alkalinity are properly adjusted.

- Jack's Magic Iron, Cobalt & Spot Etching Stuff: After 48 hours, apply 1 teaspoon over a stained area, let sit, then brush away after a few seconds.
- Add Jack's Magic After Shock: Add to quickly reduce chlorine levels when above 1 ppm.
- Add Jack's Magic Iron, Cobalt & Spot Etching Stuff: Add at a rate of 2 lb/10,000 gallons. If stain is not removed, wait an additional 48 hours and repeat step 4 (adding Iron Cobalt).
