It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Read and follow all directions and precautionary statements.

Product Information:

Di-Chlor (Dichloro-S-Triazinetrione) granular chlorine contains 56% available chlorine and cyanuric acid (stabilizer) to protect against sunlight degradation. This fast-acting, quick-dissolving formula rapidly raises chlorine levels to destroy bacteria and control algae, while having minimal impact on pH. Calcium-free to prevent clouding. Do not use in a daily chlorinator.

Swimming Pool Disinfection:

Ensure pool equipment is operating properly. Adjust pH to 7.2–7.6 and maintain stabilizer at 30–40 ppm. Check for metals and add a stain and scale inhibitor if needed. With pump running, broadcast 4 oz. per 10,000 gallons into the deep end as an initial treatment. Repeat until a 1–3 ppm chlorine residual is established. Maintain with 2–3 oz. per 10,000 gallons daily as needed. Use a test kit regularly. Brush to disperse any settled granules. Do not allow undissolved product to contact pool surfaces.

Superchlorination (Shock Treatment):

Broadcast 1 lb. per 10,000 gallons into the deep end to quickly raise chlorine levels. In water below 70°F, pre-dissolve in a clean plastic container (never add water to product; do not mix with other chemicals).

Algae Control:

Brush affected areas before treatment. Apply at night with pump running:

• Light algae: 1 lb. per 10,000 gallons
• Medium to heavy algae: 2 lbs. per 10,000 gallons.

Note: Brush and backwash filter after treatment. Repeat if necessary.

Winterizing:

Balance water (pH 7.4–7.6), clean pool, and backwash filter. Apply 1 lb. per 10,000 gallons (pre-dissolve for vinyl, fiberglass, painted, or colored surfaces). Circulate, then add winter algaecide. A second treatment may be required before freezing.

Spa & Hot Tub Use:

Adjust pH to 7.2–7.6.

• Initial dose: ½ tsp per 100 gallons (or 5 tsp per 1,000 gallons)
• Maintain 3–5 ppm chlorine residual
• Superchlorination: 1 tsp per 100 gallons (or ¼ cup per 1,000 gallons)

Reentry:

Do not enter pool, spa, or hot tub when chlorine levels exceed 3 ppm.
