Product Description
Balance Your pH Levels With Ease - Balancing your pool's pH levels has never been easier with Doheny's pH Plus, pH Minus, and Alkalinity Up! Keep your pH level between 7.2 and 7.6 ppm. Staying within that range will keep you and your pool equipment safe. On top of that, having a balanced pool will prevent scaling or cloudy water. Remember, always adjust your Alkalinity levels before adjusting your pH levels. Alkalinity acts as a buffer for your pH levels. If your Alkalinity levels are out of balance, you will never be able to get your pH properly adjusted because it will never “lock in”. By making sure that your Alkalinity level is at 80-120 PPM first, then balancing your pH, it will be more stable and less susceptible to “pH drift”. pH drift occurs when your Alkalinity is out of balance and it causes your pH level to fluctuate wildly depending on bather loads and rain.
Stabilize Your Calcium Hardness Levels - Prevent stains and corrosion with Doheny's Calcium Plus and Calcium Reducer! Our strong solutions are built to act fast and work hard so you don't have to. Don't allow your Calcium Hardness levels to fall below 200 ppm. For plaster pools, maintain a range of 225-300 ppm and for vinyl, fiberglass, and non-masonry pools maintain a range of 175-225 ppm. If you are using well water in your swimming pool, a properly balanced calcium hardness level is a must!
Increase Your Chlorine Effectiveness - Make your chlorine work more efficiently with Doheny's Stabilizer! Using our stabilizer protects your chlorine from the sun's UV rays, making your chlorine last much longer. Chlorine levels too high? Not a problem! Use Doheny's Chlorine Neutralizer to quickly lower your chlorine level to a safe range.

General Information
Calcium Hardness Reducer is a uniquely formulated blend of proprietary ingredients. When applied as directed, Calcium Hardness Reducer will reduce calcium levels to the ideal range of 200-400 ppm and inhibit calcium scale formation on pool surfaces and pool equipment. This product will also chelate and keep in solution trace heavy metals such as iron, copper and manganese to control staining of pool surfaces, and with continued maintenance treatment, remove existing stains.
Directions for Use
Initial Treatment
Pools: 1 quart per 10,000 gallons of water
Spas: 1.0 ounce per 3,000 gallons of water
Before addition of Calcium Hardness Reducer, increase the water pH to 7.8-8.2 and maintain this level for the first three days after treatment. Reduced the pH to the normal range of 7.4-7.6 after this period, or after the calcium reduction has occurred. Add the recommended dosage of Calcium Hardness Reducer by pouring around the pool or spa perimeter. Maintain water circulation for at least 12 hours each day in pools or 1 hour per day in spas during the initial treatment period. After 3 weeks, have the calcium hardness tested. If the calcium hardness level is still above the ideal range, repeat the initial treatment.
Maintenance Treatment
Pools: 4.0 ounces per 10,000 gallons of water every week
Spas: 1.0 ounce per 300 gallons of water every week
Test calcium hardness level monthly. With routine maintenance treatment of Calcium Hardness Reducer, calcium levels will remain in the ideal range of 200-400 ppm. Calcium Hardness Reducer is compatible with other recreational water treatment chemicals and processes applied in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
