Balance Your pH Levels With Ease - Balancing your pool's pH levels has never been easier with Doheny's pH Plus, pH Minus, and Alkalinity Up! Keep your pH level between 7.2 and 7.6 ppm. Staying within that range will keep you and your pool equipment safe. On top of that, having a balanced pool will prevent scaling or cloudy water. Remember, always adjust your Alkalinity levels before adjusting your pH levels. Alkalinity acts as a buffer for your pH levels. If your Alkalinity levels are out of balance, you will never be able to get your pH properly adjusted because it will never “lock in”. By making sure that your Alkalinity level is at 80-120 PPM first, then balancing your pH, it will be more stable and less susceptible to “pH drift”. pH drift occurs when your Alkalinity is out of balance and it causes your pH level to fluctuate wildly depending on bather loads and rain.
Stabilize Your Calcium Hardness Levels - Prevent stains and corrosion with Doheny's Calcium Plus and Calcium Reducer! Our strong solutions are built to act fast and work hard so you don't have to. Don't allow your Calcium Hardness levels to fall below 200 ppm. For plaster pools, maintain a range of 225-300 ppm and for vinyl, fiberglass, and non-masonry pools maintain a range of 175-225 ppm. If you are using well water in your swimming pool, a properly balanced calcium hardness level is a must!

- Doheny's pH Minus
- The ideal pH range is 7.2-7.8
- To lower pH: Measure the pH of pool water with a test kit. Broadcast over the deepest part of the pool using the following dosages based on pH. For shallow pools, dissolve in a pail of water before adding to pool.
- Recommended Dosage for pH 7.8-8.0: 4 oz per 10,000 gallons of water
- Recommended Dosage for pH 8.0-8.4: 8 oz per 10,000 gallons of water
- Recommended Dosage for pH above 8.4: 12 oz per 10,000 gallons of water
- To lower alkalinity: Keep the total alkalinity between 80-120 parts per million (ppm). Test for total alkalinity with a test kit each month. If alkalinity is light, follow usage below.
- Recommended Usage for light alkalinity: add 2 lb of pH Minus for each 10,000 gallons of pool water to lower alkalinity to 10 ppm. Keep the circulation pump running. Add this product in one spot at the deep end of the pool. Do not apply near walls or metal fixtures. Repeat daily until desired alkalinity is reached.
