Balance Your pH Levels With Ease - Balancing your pool's pH levels has never been easier with Doheny's pH Plus, pH Minus, and Alkalinity Up! Keep your pH level between 7.2 and 7.6 ppm. Staying within that range will keep you and your pool equipment safe. On top of that, having a balanced pool will prevent scaling or cloudy water. Remember, always adjust your Alkalinity levels before adjusting your pH levels. Alkalinity acts as a buffer for your pH levels. If your Alkalinity levels are out of balance, you will never be able to get your pH properly adjusted because it will never “lock in”. By making sure that your Alkalinity level is at 80-120 PPM first, then balancing your pH, it will be more stable and less susceptible to “pH drift”. pH drift occurs when your Alkalinity is out of balance and it causes your pH level to fluctuate wildly depending on bather loads and rain.

Don't allow your Calcium Hardness levels to fall below 200 ppm. For plaster pools, maintain a range of 225-300 ppm and for vinyl, fiberglass, and non-masonry pools maintain a range of 175-225 ppm. pH Minus lowers the pH of swimming pool water. It also lowers the total alkalinity of swimming pool water. The ideal pH range is 7.2-7.8. A pH in this range will:
- Allow your sanitizer to work most effectively
- Reduce equipment corrosion

To Lower pH:
1. Measure the pH of pool water with a test kit.
2. Use the table shown to determine the correct amount of this product.

Usage: Broadcast pH Minus over the deepest part of the pool. In shallow pools (4 ft. or less), dissolve product in a pail of water before adding to pool. Always add product into water.
How to Lower Alkalinity: Keep the total alkalinity between 80-120 parts per million (ppm). Each month, test for total alkalinity with a test kit. If alkalinity is high:
1. Add 2 lbs. of pH Minus for each 10,000 gallons of pool water to lower alkalinity 10 ppm.
2. Keep the circulation pump running.
3. Add this product in one spot at the deep end of the pool.
4. DO NOT apply near walls and metal fixtures.
5. Repeat each day until desired alkalinity is reached.
Storage and Disposal:
Keep this product dry in its tightly closed container when not in use. Store in cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat or open flame. Do Not reuse empty container. Rinse empty container by placing it underwater in the pool. Repeat several times. Recycle if possible or place in trash collection. Do Not contaminate food or feed by storage, disposal, or cleaning of equipment.
