Vinyl Works Model AFS A-Frame Stabilizer (SKU 15001) – Installation Guide
The Vinyl Works Model AFS is an essential stability upgrade designed exclusively for use with the Vinyl Works Model SLA A-frame ladder. This stabilizer kit extends the base footprint of your ladder and provides diagonal support to ensure a secure and wobble-free entry system for your above-ground pool.
Installation Steps
- Step 1: Preparation – Assemble your Model SLA ladder according to its original instructions. Ensure the ladder height is adjusted for your specific pool and that the base is free of debris.
- Step 2: Base Extensions – Lift the exterior portion of the ladder and snap the base tread extensions into the existing base tread. Ensure they are tightly secured and resting on level ground.
- Step 3: Diagonal Supports – Insert the straight ends of the supports into the base extensions and secure with the provided bolts and nuts. Align the angled ends against the ladder side frame, pre-drill a 5/32" hole, and secure with the provided screws.

- Compatibility: For use ONLY with VWC Model SLA A-frame ladders.
- Hardware: Includes base extensions, diagonal supports, and all necessary stainless steel hardware.
- Tightening Note: Tighten all hardware to "snug" only; overtightening into plastic may cause holes to strip.
- Liner Protection: A ladder pad is highly recommended for the in-pool portion of the ladder to provide additional protection for your pool liner.
